I have been using the outliner portable latest version for some time without major problems (some ocasional crash, but usually data were not lost). But recently it does really crash very often.

I am using it with Windows 8.1 and run it on administration mode.

So i decided to download and run the full version of the app because it is one year younger that the outliner version only. And started to run it as portable, not set into any Windows programs folder, and run it in the administration mode.

Suppose I want to assign multiple parents to a marked item.  Live-Search provides a very quick way to find destination parents.  Is there a way to add the marked item to an item in Live-Search?  Add as Sub-Item does not appear in the context menu for an item in Live-Search.  I guess I have to click the item in Live-Search, show it in the Search grid, and use Add as Sub-Item in the search grid?

Find and filter fails to find anything at all.

I found this section in the manual: https://infoqubeim.com/drupal5/node/123 but it only addresses Scope: Current View.  I don't see anything about Scope: Entire File, which has different dialogue choices.

I suspect the problem is with "5-Add filter".  Mine was set to a date filter (no idea how that happened).  I changed it to "All items" but it still won't find anything when i do a search.  I don't understand this option and can't find anything in the manual.

I have had several "crashes" when trying to use the Home Page in my working file. Before troubleshooting my own file I have been experimenting with a default (Welcome) file.

What file structure does IQ expect to import hierarchical data (e.g. Tab Indented)?

A simple example?

I'm finding it excruciatingly slow to add custom icons.  I've spent well over an hour on it and have less than 10% of my icons inside InfoQube and working.

Things that make it slow:

1) Files have to be .gif but all my icons are either .ico or .png.  Converting them has proven to be quite the time sink as I've had to try out multiple online converters with various problems attendant to that.

2) Having to reboot every time you want to see what you have.

I still have this problem:

I show upcoming calendar events during the next week or two at the top of my main action grid. This allows me to order them in a mix with todos from the grid.

So say I have an appointment at three, I can put two gardening todos on top, then have the appointment as the next item in the grid and below I can have a 'prepare dinner' todo or some such. This create a timeline of upcoming stuff in the same place has become essential to my workflow.

have been having some problems using the Journal grid. First I wondered why every item I created there was disappearing. Finally worked out it was because the date filter was on and it was set to May 2020. Maybe this should be removed? Having used IQ before I knew enough to check for a date filter but a new user might not. 

I have a Tag #Status with several children including #Do and #Done.
I have a Grid with Source #Do and a column #Status.

Some items have assigned #Do and some items have assigned #Do and #Done (and other children).
I want to exclude/hide items which have the #Done Tag.

In the Source Filter, I enter "#Done is null".
However, then all items are excluded...

What am I doing wrong?

Is it possible to open the same grid in a tab in both a left vertical tab group and a right vertical tab group?

With a grid open in a tab in the right vertical tab group, I tried to open the same grid in a tab in the left vertical tab group.  This simply activated the tab containing that grid in the right vertical tab group.

My idea was to make it easier to move items to different parents in the same grid, by dragging items to new parents in the other instance of the grid, to eliminate the back and forth scrolling required when reorganizing an outline in a single tab.
