Can't find text inside doc / HTML in search from Omnibox

Submitted by LeftEccoForIQ on 2020/02/29 15:35
Is this a missing feature or a bug in 0.9.114s?

1. Create item 'test'
2. Edit item and put some rare word in the HTML pane
3. Search for the word using the Omnibox

As it is, the item doesn't turn up in my search results. I am unsure now whether this used to work or whether it never worked, but manual seems to suggest that it should:

The Doc editing pane... is used to:
Enter "rich text" content (HTML). Each item can have a separate document. There is no limit to the amount of text that an item can contain. The text is saved as part of the IQBase file.

Link to page inside PDF

Forums
I want to place a link in InfoQube that opens a PDF to a specific page.

This was discussed a couple of years ago (Universal Links):

Was suggested it should be possible by appending a code to the pdf URL

I've repeatedly tried to make this work but never have been able to.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how it can be done?

IQ and Windows on Arm

Submitted by Pierre_Admin on 2020/02/24 17:59
Hi IQ Users !

By keeping the same Windows version number, 10, Microsoft wants us to think that it is one version, when in fact, so much has changed under the hood between v1507 and the current v1909
In parallel, Microsoft has been branching out with specialized versions of Windows 10, such as Windows 10S, Windows 10X and Windows on Arm.

As a software developer, each version can cause issues, minor ones or worst, major ones.

Perhaps the most drastic OS change is one that also has major hardware changes as is Windows on Arm of course.

How do I Group *and* Sort?

Submitted by David_H on 2020/02/19 01:20
I did review the documentation on sorting and grouping. The moment I group by a column, I lose the ability to sort by a column, and everything sorts in a haphazard manner which I can see no rhyme or reason to. If I manually sort the items in the group, the next time I close and reopen the grid, everything is back in a random order.

Also, the moment a grid is grouped, right clicking and selecting sort does nothing. I did find one way to "cheat". If I group by item as a second grouping, and then ungroup by item, everything in the first grouping is now sorted alphabetically. Until I close the grid and reopen it.

Thanks

Drag link doesn't work

Submitted by WayneK on 2020/02/14 00:28
No longer able to drag links from the Firefox address bar to the InfoQube grid.

I recently updated to Firefox 72.0.2 but I thought that it was working after that (but not 100% sure).

Didn't fix the problem: restarting Firefox and InfoQube several time; rebooting computer.

Password field and password encryption for notes

Submitted by Snick on 2020/02/11 11:26
Hello

I'm a new user to InfoQube.

I have some suggestion:
- I'd like to include my list of passwords into InfoQube. For that I'm missing a password field, which mask the password with * unless it is active. Or unless I hit a show password button.
- I'd like to include private information protected by a password. But I'm missing the ability to password protect (encrypt/decrypt) a note.

doc pane content information in grid

Submitted by Pavel on 2020/02/11 08:28
Hello, there may be an answer or documentation about this already, but I can't find it, so apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere. What I need is to see to which items I have already entered a text comment in the document pane without opening each item individually. Is there a way to see which items in the grid have (any) information in the document pane?
