I assign Ctrl+. to New Sub-Item. It works fine.
However, after restarting IQ the shortcut is gone, and I need to assign it again.

I updated to v1.128.5 but the shortcut is still not remembered.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?
In what file are the shortcuts saved?

I was able to reproduce the issue and will provide a fix. In the meantime, you can use Ctrl+Enter, it adds a new sub-item :-)

Ctrl+Enter is not listed as a keyboard shortcut in All.Shortcuts.tab ?

some shortcuts are hard-coded...

but it is in the documentation, see Writing an outline and this search result.

I'm not sure I'll be able to fix this. It is an issue with the framework used. You can however assign a shortcut to the . key of the numeric keypad

OK. No big deal. I'll just use Ctrl-Enter.

In the end, I did find a workaround 😯👌. In the next version:

Fixed: Custom shortcuts: Certain shortcuts were lost on restart (those with ; = , - . / ` [ ] \ ')
