Is there any way to turn off asterisks on tab names?  I couldn't find anything in options.

With my set up, every time I open InfoQube I have to go through and open multiple tabs to make the asterisks go away so I can see all my tabs without having to scroll.

Hi Wayne,

The asterisks are to indicate that the grid is not loaded. It takes minimal space, but it indeed makes the tab a bit wider. I'll add an option to show/hide the asterisk.

Now, having many many grids open is not a good strategy, memory wise, so you could try to close unused tabs

You also now have 2 great options:

  1. Vertical tabs
  2. NavBar (with the new Favorite grid feature, grid hierarchy and soon to be released grid groups)

Thanks for the ideas. I'm always looking to improve my set-up and I look forward to checking out the new features.

Keeping minimal tabs open saves memory but it also slows work because you have to find the link, open the tab, and wait for it to load every time you use it. Having tabs open and ready to go really helps with work flow when you're having to access a lot of different tabs. Having tabs across the top of my screen is also a valuable "home base" and overall view of my current open work.

I already have a pane set up with grid links etc I find I just don't use it much because of the reasons above. It's just aggravatingly slow to have to constantly find and open grids to access them.

I do prefer vertical tabs but it doesn't leave enough horizontal space to have two side-by-side panes open in my set up.

Anyway, everyone has to work out their own trade-offs based on how they like to work. To this end, it's always good to have options to work with, and InfoQube does a great job of providing those.

How do I ?
