I have had several "crashes" when trying to use the Home Page in my working file. Before troubleshooting my own file I have been experimenting with a default (Welcome) file.
I am first trying to understand the book page here: http://infoqubeim.com/drupal5/node/3445. Specifically, "2.1 Always visible".

If I understand correctly, I need to create two vertical Tab Groups and close all tabs in the left group and only open the Home Page in that group? The right group will have several Tabs (see below).
When I click on a Grid link in the (default) Home Page, it only focuses an already open Grid in the right group. If the Grid is not open and the Grid link is clicked, it instead opens the Grid in the left Group (where the Home Page is). Is this correct?

Is there some way to have all Grids open in the right group when the links are clicked in the Home Page?

Also, why doesn't the Favorites on the Home Page (see below) match the ones on the toolbar?:

This often happens after a Grid is opened in the left group, by clicking on a link in the Home Page, and then closed.
