It worked fine in 117, when I reverted to 117 hoist works again!

Thanks!

The problem I encountered applies only to my main IQ base; when I open other IQ bases (such as those supplied with the program), I am able to hoist w/o difficulty, as per your experience!

Also, I now see that the problem is not just that hoisting doesn't work: using my main IQ base, the only menus displayed are File-View-Grid, whereas with other IQ bases all of the menus are displayed. Likewise, my calendar is not displayed properly in 118, using my main IQ base, although it is with other IQ bases. In addition, I cannot access other IQ functions with my main IQ base: if I choose Tools, I cannot compact this IQ base or set its options, etc..

In light of the above, I thought that perhaps my IQ base got corrupted. But (a) I repaired it on my laptop, which runs 117, but then I encountered the aforementioned problems when opening this very same file (synced by Dropbox) on my desktop, which runs 118. Also, (b) once I reverted to 117 on my desktop, the file opens perfectly there - all of the problems described above no longer obtain!

Please note that I am using a Win 10 computer, completely patched (I also temporarily disabled by AV, didn't help), and I ran a registry repair with Ccleaner and general scan with Kerish Doctor to make sure that the computer is working OK - but none of this helped. Also, the problem I described obtained regardless of whether I installed 118 using the full installer or whether I used the portable version.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem as LM77. In addition to non-functional menu, the keyboard shortcuts also do not work. After replacing only the InfoQube.exe file with the v120Pre17 version, everything works fine. v120Pre18 with the new database also works.

Hi to both of you. If you can send a copy of the problematic database, I'll be able to look at it. If theses contain personal information, you can make a copy and mask the content (Tools > Database > Repair > Mask)

[edit] I may have been able to reproduce the issue with an older IQBase. Question to you: On opening the problematic IQBase, do you get the "Enable Reminder" dialog ? If not, if you wait long enough, does it show the dialog ?

IQ scans the file on open, introduced recently, and is probably the cause

Thanks !

Hi Pierre,

Thank you for your quick response. Thank you also for all your work, InfoQube IM is brilliant and one of a kind.

To answer your question:

On opening the problematic IQBase I don’t get the "Enable Reminder" dialog (15 min of waiting time).

From the menu bar items I can see only “File”, “View” and “Tools”.

I sent the database to support@infoqubeim.com.

Thanks to both of you. I issued v120Pre19 which fixes this. Also, if you turn off reminders, it should not cause the issue

(Tools > reminders > reminder options). Close IQ and restart
