Text = White

Item Back Color = [some dark color]

Can't edit white text normally because when you enter edit mode the background turns white and the text disappears.

Suggestion: have text colors switch to black during edit mode.

White text is usually a bad idea for readability but I'm finding it useful sometimes to combine it with a bold fill color to make a header stand out.

Hi Wayne,

It works fine for item text color. The issue is with embedded color (i.e. in Edit mode, you select some text and apply text color)

The only way to fix this is to apply the background color while editing. Non-WYSIWYG editor works like this, so it does make sense, if only to be consistent. I was not applying the background color, because in general, this makes the cell being edited much more visible...

Any thoughts ?

It didn't occur to me that it would work differently for WYSIWYG.

I'm fine with it the way it is, especially now that I know how it works.

I don't think it occurs enough to worry about.  Worst case, you can obviously change the text to black, edit, and change back to white.
