[original title]Changing the drive (C: to Z:) InfoQube portable is stored: Will the links pasted into external applications from "Copy Item URIs" be updated?

Hi,

I'd appreciate to know from you what to expect in this scenario:
I'm changing the drive (C: to Z:) InfoQube portable is stored, keeping the same path structure.
I've been copying and pasting into external applications (Word, Excel, etc.) the links I get from InfoQube through  "Copy Item URIs".
By changing the drive, will those links be updated when clicked (i.e. InfoQube will be found despite the drive letter change), or do I need to edit individually the links inserted in each of the external applications?

Thank you!
Carlos

Thanks for the reply Pierre.

Nice about registering IQ protocol when I move the application to the new drive.

What about the links themselves that were embedded into other applications.

For instance, links with the following structure exist in Word and Excel documents:

IQ://C:\InfoQubePortable\DATA\DATA%20Outliner\TEST%20Outliner.SNDB/items/1988

By changing the IQ protocol those links are expected to work?

Or would I need to manually edit each link, for instance changing the drive part from C: to Z (from IQ://C:\* to IQ://Z:\*)?

Best!

Hi Carlos,

The IQ protocol handles the location of the IQ program.

If the IQBase is moved, that is a different question, which I do not have the answer. Best is to simply try it and report back !

How do I ?
