My overall productivity has jumped way high since switching from ECCO. Many thanks.

I know I asked about this before but I'm asking again as this one mod would be THE mod that i keep coming back to while using InfoQube.

Please give it some serious though.

Can the cursor be made to (highlight) stretch across the entire Item and the columns so I can orient myself when editing a column value. As you know Ecco places a box around the entire row.

Thank you for considering.

Hi Maxbear35,

Excellent news !

Have you tried to use row and column highlights ? Tools > Options > Highlight... (1.2.17 to 1.2.19) ?

Otherwise, IQ used to have a full row select mode, similar to the Add Column dialog, would that suit you ?

I looked at the highlight method. Sorry NG

Full row select would be the one. I hope you can add this soon as I am managing a really large project with no help but that of  InfoQube.

Thanks in advance.

Just to be sure as IQ has quite a few display options

  1. Column + Row highlight does not work for you ? The visual feedback is not sufficient ?
    ff

  2. With the right highlight color, selected cell is very visible as shown here:
    a
  3. If you have many columns, it is also possible to lock the first n columns so they stay visible as you scroll left/right
  4. Lastly, when you're on the item column, press once on the left arrow moves the focus to the # column which can highlight the whole row. Scrolling up/down is then quite visible:
    a

Thank you but nothing is sufficiently clear so far. your suggestion #4 is near but the highlite is lost once you click on a field.

<sigh> As my project grows it's getting more difficult to maintain focus.

Is placing a box around the entire row (ala Ecco) not feasible. That would be the ideal solution and one I would be willing to pay for if that's what it takes.

Thanks for thinking on this.

Noice, I might like that, too, if it the 'touch' is light enough so it doesn't impact readability. Would actually prefer just the frame without any kind of filling, but that's just my poor ageing eyes talking...

Hi Maxbear35 !

Did you try v118Pre2 ? It now has a box around the item's column. So if you have many columns (and lock the Item column) then it will be much easier to see what item has focus as you scroll

Thanks for the suggestion

Yes, that feature looks great so far, allowed me to give up on the 'Highlight row header' option. Any chance of the user being able to set the color for the highlighter box? :-p
