I wanted to verify that there are no direct ways to search my database for doc pane content, if the doc pane content is a htm or an MHT file.

It appears the available searches would search for the characters in the filename of the ItemHTMLFile only.

Am I am correct in that you have to use a file utility that searches within files (everything, agent ransack/file locator pro)?

I can check the actual code, but Live-Search with 'search all text fields' should find Doc pane content, even for htm / mht files

I used live search with the term "father's day", which gave no results. It looks like it does work properly for words without apostrophes.

How do I make that a term with special characters work?

Searching for single and double quotes is not easy, as they are used to enclose text. I'll see if this can be improved, but this works:

father''s day
