When I do a screen capture of this image:

Note that the bottom and right-side of the image is cut off.  I thought it was because the image was too big so I zoomed out before the screen capture and it still cut it off at the same point.

Nothing wrong with the screen capture because when I paste into another program, the full image is pasted correctly.

Preview of my post looked fine but when I posted it, it came up blank again.  Doesn't like any kind of pasted images.

I'll try to just describe it: when I do a screen capture of an image and paste it into a grid cell, the bottom and right-side of the image is cut off.  Thought it was because the image was too big so I zoomed out before the screen capture but it still cut off the image at the same places.

Only way to get the whole image to show was to make the screen capture much bigger than the image itself but then I'm just guessing at the size needed, and it ends up with an unnecessary border around the image.

Nothing wrong with screen capture itself because the image pastes correctly in other programs.

edit: works fine when pasting images into HTML pane.

 Hi Wayne,
To post images, you need to first upload them to the server using the little mountain+sun icon ("insert/edit image"). Then, once uploaded, you need to select it/tnem. Steps are explained in the forum section of the forum I believe.
(And inserting screencasts doesn't work anymore, it seems.)

Thanks, I know about the upload requirements but try to get by with direct copy/paste when I can because it's so much easier.  It usually works if the images are smallish.

Per usual, I try repeatedly to fix a problem, then finally give up and post a thread.  After I post the thread and return to work, the solution magically appears.

In this case: the cell has to be manually re-sized to show the whole image (drag borders on right and bottom).  Really should automatically size to show the whole image but at least I have a fix.

 Hi again,
I did a super small test, pasting a jpg in the grid.
I enabled "show picture" in the "grid" menu and the picture appeared normally. I wonder if it has to do with some other setting in the options or maybe the file format.

I clipped a section of the screen and pasted it in a grid (with Grid > Show Pictures checked). Worked first shot...

It appears that the image size is set by the clip; InfoQube then tries to fit the image into the available column space.  If it doesn't fit, the image is cut off but can be seen by dragging one of the columns wide enough to accommodate the image.

I thought the image was re-sized to fit available space but that appears to not be the case.  Not really a problem now that I have a better idea of what to expect.
