Version v0.9.25O is now released ! Download it here.

In this release:
  1. Improved column selection (see New User "Gotcha" list)
  2. Minor menu reorganisation
  3. Column click sorts even when the Sortbar is not shown (see Group items by sort column : after a refresh, it stays, but it's messed up. (M))
  4. Import Data: only imports the first 32000 characters (see Is there a limit on number of items imported via a CSV text file ?)
  5. If the Tree column is changed from the default column (Item) to different one, a dialog is shown.
  6. In Tools >> Keyboard Shortcuts added a Customize menu (same as right-click on a toolbar, see Customizing Menus and Toolbars)
  7. Gantt update problem when linking bars Gantt problems in version N
  8. Improved Ecco Importer (see Ecco Pro Import)
  9. Properties Pane: Right-click on a field >> Show items with values for this field : Fails if the field name contains a space or a punctuation
Enjoy !

Sounds great!
they're all very important fixes.
In my case, #1 is the most exciting feature... :)

#1 is a nice useability feature (left click to select a column). Also, I imported a 47,000 line csv with no problem, so I'd say #4 works now!

Wow, that's what I call stress-testing ! Don't forget to compact after importing such a large file.

This is your Address Book ? You're a very popular guy Keith

great to hear you imported the addressbook successfully Keith

Thanks for fixing Pierre !

Pierre,

Thanks for the quick turnaround on this new release and for addressing specific issues I was having. I've been out of town and got home late last night, and did some quick testing of the Gantt improvements last night. Things are much better now if I use my original test file. However, if I start over and create a new project file I am seeing black Gantt bars and some other fickle things. Hopefully this is some minor thing. I'll do some more testing and make you some videos of the results as soon as I can.

Thanks again for the update and this truly amazing product.

Hi Dave:

I'm assuming you have set the color of the gantt bar to whatever you want. I find that I have to close and re-open IQ for the change to take effect. The change is not reflected when you simply close and re-open the grid.

Pierre, is it possible to have a drop down list of color choices similar to those that exist under options|grid?

Oops, I have to amend my claim. I chose blue as the bar color. As I described the bar color changes from black to blue, but only on closing/re-opening IQ, not the grid as instructed. I should have chosen a different color as I cannot great a gantt with any other color but black (the default it seems) or blue. Does not work with any other color value.

I have tried small numbers (10, 20, 50) and the result is black. Frustrated, I tried a much larger number (50000) and a green bar displayed. 70000 produced a crimson bar. All this did not require re-starting IQ. Just closing and re-opening the grid did it. These "codes" don't appear to be standard though, and it would be much easier if a color chart was displayed.

You're quite correct. I'm fixing it right now

Thanks for reporting

Pierre:

After creating a new gantt, closing and re-opening the grid to see the changes, the timeline is all the way on the right of the screen. This will not be readily apparent to an inexperienced user. Am I missing something?

I run IQ on both a laptop and desktop.  On the laptop I cannot successfully move or resize the HTML viewer or easily hide the properties pane.  This does not happen on the desktop.  Does anyone have any suggestions? Running Windows 7 on both.

Hi lodhs and welcome to the IQ Community !

Can you be more explicit, as to what happens when you try to move the HTML pane ? And best is to use Jing or other s/w to record your actions.

Thanks

Pierre

I continue to be unable to resize or move the HTML Editor box, and if I try more than once IQ freezes.  This happens only on my laptop not my desktop. I am running Windows 7.

Hi lodhs,

Please use Jing or other similar software to record your actions. I was not able to reproduce the issue.

Thought I'd mention this just in case (seeing as you posted in an older version thread) -
the most recent version is 0.9.25Q1.

Thanks ! I'll try to reproduce it.

In the meantime, try loading an IQBase first

I'm not able to reproduce it. You may want to try the portable version. It is more independant of the OS

BTW: IE is working ? What version ?
